Can you believe it? We are approaching the end of the year! Now, I know it’s not quite the end of the year yet, but we are getting awfully close. We are about to be in the last four months, which ends up being closer to three with all the travel and holidays.
And so, over the years I have found it best to pause at the end of summer (now-ish) to assess what I’ve accomplished thus far. Once I celebrate my wins, I spend time figuring out what I want to focus on for the remainder of the year. This ensures that I finish the year strong, even when I’ve had a slow start.
You may be thinking, “Hey Silvia, suck it! I still haven’t had a real vacation.” Or “Hey Silvia, I’m in the middle of a boat load of other things in my life right now.” And I get it, the weather hasn’t really changed in most of the world, the season hasn’t officially changed, and Starbucks hasn’t brought back the PSL. Oh wait, they already did – Ha!
So, grab your PSL, a notebook and sit down and determine how things are going against major life areas. Once you’ve completed that step, decide what you want to accomplish to finish the year strong. If you need help, here are some thoughts for you based on my own assessment. (Pro tip: I’m publishing these here as it gives me some accountability. Consider who you might want to share your year-end goals with to ensure you follow through).
MIND: Mental, Career, Financial – Double down on my coaching business. Create a funnel for how to fill 5 spots for new coaching clients by September 29, 2023
BODY: Physical, Recreation, Organization – Set up a new workout routine to fill the gap while my gym comes back online, by September 10, 2023
HEART: Relationships, Emotional, Social – Grab some champs and plan a girl’s day with my crew by September15, 2023.
SOUL: Character, Purpose, Spirituality – Determine how best to give back to my Maui community, in a sustainable, and ongoing way by October 31, 2023
What are you going to do in these last four months to finish strong? You don’t have to accomplish something in every single area of your life, but I do recommend you at least consider which is most important to you. Also, if you feel like you are on the right track, then don’t stop to do this activity, just Keep Going!! No matter what happens, I will be here to cheer you on.
